Nice shots. Looked like a lot of fun. The only really safe place to be comfortable being sideways is on skid-pan. Plenty of room to find limits of car & driver.
Awesome, thanks!
So wait, you were the bloke with Kyle? Ahh sorry mate, didn't realise!
Don't suppose I could get some hi-res copies of those two Calais ones could I? They're the most crystal clear shots I've ever seen of it on the skidpan. :)
Cheers,
- Febs.

That looks like some serious fun! Only downside would be cleaning underneath the car the next day.
Aeron, so do you want to go into business selling photos? :D
Absolutely lovely work mate, you do well with that 400mm lens and no monopod or IS/VR :)
Im @ work, my photos are currently processing and resizing themselves at home.. should be all done tonight, if my interweb is reconnected when I get home, i'll post them up :)

Only water my car gets hit with is from a bucket when its being washed.
Last time i was there when my car was on a hoist the mechanic had a go at me for the car being "to clean" :)
Still I think I must have a go at this in the new year, it looks like to much fun not to!
with EC skid pan water.. make sure you get it off your paint relatively quickly; leave it a few days and it becomes rather difficult to get off. nasty stuff

Carl,
You have the rear mufflers removed, yes? Regardless that thing even through lowish quality video sounds amazing, if ever I needed convincing to leave mine of (pity its only a Gen III) then that's it.
Nice work.:werd:

Just the VYII boys talking tactics ...
"We gotta take out that smart arse in the E Series R8 ... I'll distract him up the top by doing some donuts ... you grab the keys to the Camry and take him out when he's not looking"

Hey Nick dont diss the camry! :lmao:
It gave other cars a run for there money. Im still proud that i got 26.1 sec pass for that timed lap and beat others in there flash Holdens etc :eyes:
Really though anyone who wants to take her out next skidpan day is more than welcome too, even the next Wakefield - esp if Sam helps me with my brakes! Sam! :stick:

I beat you and that's all matters :nana: :stick: and ended up with 3rd out of 30 odd overall :yahoo:
I came to a screeching halt thinking ... beat the camry, beat the camry, beat the camry, beat the camry, beat the camry, beat the camry
Seriously though, I think you proved that on a tight twisty wet track HP does jack shite ... keep it straight and you will be fast. I think you embarassed HALF the people there when you pulled out a 26.1.
:bravo:
What was Bomi's time again, I can't remember ... about 35 seconds wasn't it ???

I brushed past this one as I thought "oh just scotty being scotty" :stick:
Upon further info I was told that this was a faint attempt at humour by our wheel king.
"Yes Scotty, Im lucky Nick is polite" :stick:

I remember what it was now, I was yacking away with Sonny and when I hung up the entire track had changed and there were two seperate groups belting around different clover leaf exercises.
I have to say it looked somewhat daunting at first (the two exercises almost seemed to cross over in the middle) so my good mate Bomi kindly told me where to go ... and then he explained the track.
:D
Defo, i turned round from the pan, and saw nick having a good old yarn and thought 'i must get that shot'
I was lucky, nick had just started to turn round and snob me.. :P

I know, I was paying attention and had Matt in the car with me and I still didnt know where to drive, hence me trying to help you out with the layout.

Yeh the Cloverleaf was a hard one. Although if your kept on turning right you got it - although they shoulda used the whiteboard!
*Go to centre cone, turn right. Head back to centre cone, turn right. Head back to centre cone and turn right and try not to crash into very expensive Mazza parked there!
