Poor guy. :(

It's Bathurst, but given the photographer and the fact that it looks like a track-prepped Sprinter, I'd say it was a proper track day, not just a hoon going hell for leather.

(For full effect, start at number 1 and work your way through...) (Or click on the movie file link at the bottom)

I agree it would have to be a proper event, just shows how careful you have to be regardless!

What site did you find that on?

It was re-posted on the forums at http://www.overclockers.com.au/ but it would've come from somewhere else originally.

The spectators on the hill in the back ground don't even flinch:eek:
Try to explain that one to the insurance company:slap:
The driver is very lucky it fell on the passenger side of the car and ot on him:bow: (who's your god?)

Insane, goes to show the imporant of a rollcage in a car that is doing any decent rate of knots on a track, its scary to see how much the roof caved in. Lucky bastard is right!!

Very lucky boy. If it was a right hander he lost it on, then his side of the roof would have copped it and he would have certainly not walked away. See photo 11, his head is out of the window due to forces. Scary.

Came from the Toymods forum - the guy is quite an active member over there.

Great argument for:

Dedicated track car...

With Harness...

With roll cage...

Good personal safety gear

(not necessarily in that order)

oh yeah, definately shows the need for the mentioned gear,

What scares me is when I hit the track at the signposted 60kph thats an awesome ripple strip to run over because you feel the left side of the car pull up, as it sort of slides across it and back onto the road. I cant describe the feeling.

I spose when I think about it I could understand that happening at speed, funny though how a V8 Supercar can bounce off it but a track special car simply rolls. Shows the weight and suspension differences amongst other things
