It was going to stay stock but that didn't last long. I will post some more pics tomorrow but its been pulled apart getting ready for a CA18, R31 diff, fuel system etc.

Cheers,

John

Should be a weapon when it's done. Looks pretty good with wheels on it ;).

Now you just have to drop the arse down so it's scraping on the road and leave the front end pointing to the stars ...

:yep:

That's what all the cool kids do anyway ...

Nice one John, sounds like some fun ahead.

WOOT ... go the Datto 12.

Always wanted one as a play thing ... if only I wasn't so tall and fat (& poor).

:sigh:

Nice one John ... they'd be getting rare as rocking horse shit these days.

A mate of mine had a fully worked wagon version about 25 years ago.

Nearly killed me about 6 times in it!!!

Did i see CA-18 somewhere?? Excellent choice of engine!!!! Had a CA18DETin my S13 and it was a very respectable engine...
I got a second engine and built that one up with the CA20 bottom end but left the top of the motor the 18....
Then we put the original CA18DET in an old Stanza with the R31 Diff and the Silvia std auto and it was an absolute weapon....
Best of luck with the project! Cant wait to see the final product!
I must say right about now im very jealous as you are doing the same project i have wanted for years... Problem is a good ute is hard to find!!!!
