I was in Brisvegas a while ago and picked up one of those TBA tb's. They are quite good looking piece of kit.
I was driving home from work and thought i would stop by Marrano's and say hi to the team. Anyway i get there and Sonny goes have you got the tb with you? I didn't ,and he said said go and get and we will bang it on and do some testing.
No worries i dart off home and get it.
We ran my ss on the dyno and it pulled a misely 227rwkw.... Anyway Sonny bolts on the new tb and we run it straight away on the dyno again. It then made 234rwk. Cool a bit of a gain. The intake temps were a little cooler off memory on this run. Not a great deal difference though.
After a few touch ups to the tune and a conversion to new dual spark tables. He ran it again and viola 241rwkw. Intake temps similar to the first run.
The TBA throttle bodies do work and the car does feel a heap better on the road. Throttle response has improved a heap and we got a measureable increase in power and torque. I didn't like the feel of the accelerator, way to touch for my liking. Sonny adjusted the spring in the tb and now its tip top.
I also had a slight pinging in the top end b4 this was all done. After a snappy manifold clean and Sonny's touch up to the tune. The ss is now better than ever.
Big thank you  to Sonny and his team this was done on Friday afternoon and they went out of there way to send me off a happy chappy.
I have the dyno sheets scanned here but can't host them. If someone can host them for me that would be great.

AHHH thats why you were there.
A nice little gain.Worth every cent no doubt.
They definitely help for throttle response.

Good post, thanks for the write up. You can host images on trackchat btw, click "media gallery" (look up) then clip "upload photos"

I'm delighted with mine...More power and in particular better throttle response...It's not a huge increase - about 6-8rwkw, but the driveability improvement is enormous..
Great stuff there JB.
I bolted on a PP standard TB and noticed better throttle response. I think they are a worth while bolt on for any type of car.
Thanks for the before and after dyno results, they make it easy to see the way these TB's get more out of these engines.

I have also enquired into these t/b's. From all reports, they are the biz. A 90mm is on the hit-list :up2sum: .

I got to agree 100% I am wrapped in mine, had a little trouble with the idle and butterfly sticking when its been sitting over night but fix that and now its all systems go.
Anyway here is a little pix of the TBA's work if anyone is intrsted.
