I'm going to do my first Trackday at Qld Raceway (Willowbank) and was wondering where the recovery/tow points were on a VY Series 1 SS.

At the rear, they're on either side just in front of the rear wheels. They're a crescent shaped loop welded to the frame. If you need to use these, make sure you don't grab the brake line as they're very close.
At the front, they're just forward of the front wheel on either side. If you get down and have a look, you'll see a box section with a hole in the side, and the bottom. use the ones on the side as the hooks can't fall out of them if the vehicle rolls a bit losing tension on the chain.
If you're buried in the kitty litter, these will be awkward to access. The benefit of being in the kitty litter is you won't need to worry about the chains damaging the paint on your barwork - it's already gone :p
Have an awesome day! When are you going?

Thanks Justin for the info, I am going to try and avoid the kitty litter but you never know. I'm signed up with Time Attack to do their beginner's class and session on the 11/2/10.

You going to stay for the afternoon as well and run in the "Series"?
We need more entrants in the NA V8 category!
I normally come out in the morning but only run the afternoon sessions.
See you there, just look for the bright red VT Clubby.

I was just going to see how I went in the morning session (being my first time) but I was planning on staying to watch the afternoon session and meet some of you guys . Will look-out for your Clubby.
