Last Friday I dropped into Sonny's on a small personal matter and to say G'day and merry christmas and all that jive.
Every time I go there Sonny and his crew are flat out like a bees in a hive and from memory had no less than 6 cars being worked on by him or his staff that day. My intentions were to be there for just a short moment but he asks me, " If you can hang around for a little while I got twin spark tables to up load for you into your PCU."
Gez you got cars to be finished before you close for the break and your offering this to me? To me that's what customer service is all about! He could of done it later as the white sled will be going in for some attention beyond my skills in the new year.
To be honest I didn't even know what he was talking about at first until he explained it to me. So I said sure I can wait, and after a little while he gets to me and starts the process which took about 10 minutes.
It's just these little things that will make a customer want to come back, I didn't ask for it, he didn't charge me for it and I'm not a big customer for him by a long shot. To take the time to do it when it ment more time at the shop when he could be finishing the other jobs to get away sooner for his break is nothing short of an un-selfish act and good customer PR!

Well done Sonny and I'll mention the attention the boys gave to RedVYIISS being serviced while I was there:thumbs:, Holden could learn a thing or two from them when it comes to a minor service:stick:

Weren't no 'minor' service either. Arrived 4pm the Friday before Christmas and got the full treatment... the boys didn't finish my car till 6 pm.

Simply the best customer service going.

I've also got a pre-Christmas Sonny story. I had a minor problem with the Calais on the 23rd or 22nd last year (whenever it was, it was Sonny's last day before the break). I rang Sonny at around 1pm, hoping to get in sometime in the new year, but he said "If you bring the part and the car around soon, I'll fit it for you on the spot."

True to his word, Sonny had the part fitted in no time at all, just before he left to go on his break.

Top notch customer service IMO.

Cheers,
- Febs.

Well he may have a new customer in the new year. I have followed threads on Sonny and Marranos on 3 different forums for the last couple of months, and also talked with one bloke directly who had Sonny do an engine for him, and NOT ONE person has had anything but praise for him and the team. Now that is a rare quality in times where even the factory and the dealership where you spend your hard earned cant get you off the lot fast enough, with not so much as a thank you for your business.....

I look forward to getting to know you and your talents for cars in the new year Sonny and co :D

Sorry to bump this up guys, but i figured i'd just add to this thread rather than start a new one...

Yesterday i dropped the SS off to Sonny at short notice to add an oil cooler for the auto as i'm towing my boat up the coast tomorrow. I figured while i was at it i'll probably end up doing some track days (despite the "girlfriends gearbox" in it) so i asked Sonny to whack in a power steering cooler as well...

The car was done by late afternoon despite the best efforts of parts suppliers to make life hard for Sonny and the boys. I rocked up when the job was 90% done, and got to see their handiwork first hand.

One of the reasons i went to Sonny is the wraps the forum guys have on him, and i have to say i am impressed by Marranos. The guys are great, take pride in their work and the job is first class. Little things like tidying hoses, the care taken with cars onsite and making sure things are 110% right. Sonny even got into a fault that arrived courtesy of Holden and organised for his local Holden dealer to come to the party on the part required. Full marks to Marranos on that one !!

People notice when they get great service, as so many places treat you like "just a customer". That doesn't happen at Marranos, and the price was more than fair too !! A genuine and huge thanks to Sonny and the boys...

Cheers,
Paul...

Well where to start..

Where to start...

Sonny has done work on 3 Cars that I have access to / drive etc. And EVERY single one of the owners is happy as larry.

My SV6 = I break it, he fixes it. The guys a champ

Company VYII Calais = Cant get the smile of the bosses face every time he boots it!

Company VYII Adventra = Fully loaded Wagon + Car Trailer with a 180sx, tools, compressor, drift rims (Gross Combo Weight of 5.1tonne). 16.9L/100km average to adelaide and back. previous to this the thing chewed 18.5L/100km around town, and 17L/100km on the freeway with no load in it.

The guy is a champion and a credit to the automotive industry. without a doubt.
