Being from Wagga, Gilly and I dont wanna stay here for NYE.

I would like to go to Sydney, they are apparently they are having the biggest fire works in the world. I luuuuurrrrrrvvvvvv fireworks :nutbag:

We also could go to Melbourne to relo's of Gilly's.

What are you all up to.

Please dont leave us here in Wagga where their fireworks will be a drunk rugby player with a bunch of Sparklers stuck up his arse whilst running down the main street:mgun:

Troy

I'm designated baby watcher this year; our 3 month old is still on "high rotation" (eat/sleep/crap/cry);

it's a different kind of high, no drugs required.

I highly doubt I'll even make it to midnight ... anyone else work 40 hours this week ???

I need to spend the weekend packing / moving / washing / mowing, by Sunday night I will be over it ... maybe next year.

Im going to my sis and brother in laws place for a quiet drink and about 6 hours of poker hands.

I wanted to get in to the fireworks on the harbour with the camera, but alas, I dont want to fight 400,000 other sydneysiders trying to do the same thing :(

Troy, go to melbourne mate, much nicer and calmer i think :)

Troy,

Probably very similar to Nick, minus the working 40hrs. :waving:

The 5th wiggle's 7pm bedtime sorta puts the clamps on what we can do of an evening. We finally have him in a good routine :yahoo: and am loathed to stuff it up. Either way ... Melly New Year to all trackchatters

have a few drinks, go to bed, then go to sleep. pretty much the usual.

once you've been to the fireworks a few times that becomes so so. watch it on tv less hassle. esp these day's if you were a terrorist the crowds for that would be a good target. getting their getting home been there done that too much effort

could go out but then can't get pissed, i prefer to have freinds come over to my place. but nothing planned yet.

mmm got to hook up the new sub and amp this weekend too. get a new dishwasher, a real one not the wife.

mighwatch the fireworks on the new HD LCD

Hey Steve ... what LCD did you get ???

We went shopping for toys for our new place yesterday and I picked up a Sony Bravia 46" HD (1920 x 1080) LCD ... looks unreal, can't wait to use it.

Unfortunately that won't be for a few months yet, the sale prices were just too good to pass up so we bought it early.

Nick not as big as yours, was had been looking at 40's for the last couple of months. then thought I don't want to get a new entertainment unit, or get rid of it, it hold too much much junk already. so went down to just look at the next size down while buying some other stuff and bought a 81cm R series Samsung for $1700, 5 months ago these were $2990. just fits in the entertainment unit. moved the Loewe out to the the other room for the kids and chucked the one out that was there. can't have enough TV's only have 6, even one in the gararge for when i'm working out there. The Loewe has a great picture, hard to convince the wife to get another one.

Sony eh they have a great picture too, some say they use the same screen as the Samsung, not sure how true that is. both have a great picture. Was reading recently on a TV forum the Sony's have had a lot of problems with the backlight bleeding on units made from Oct to Dec 06, bad batch or something, no recalls however. better pull it out and check its a good one of your going to store it for a few months. check dark room with a lot of black on display, see if any spots of backlight coming through. they replace the whole thing if it does it seems. some poor dudes on the forum have had up to 3 each.

So your moving house? Within the shire still ? missed a great deal next to my place, large home extremley well looked after, sold below $800,000. the guys a real estate agent built it from new, had to sell due to paying $4,000 pm interest on a town house estate thats taken 12 mths to build up on the central coast so far, poor guy. he didn't want to sell it...Quite area, so quite sometimes your ears hum from the lack of noise around. except from my house lol.

PS hate the way with HDTV the sound is so much lower that normal TV. if if have the surround on and turn it up then switch back to normal get blown back out of the room almost.

Not the shire mate ... North Shore. A great place on 1000 sqm ... best part is it has a 3 car garage. :yahoo:

We got the extended warrantee so we are covered for 5 years, I'll check out the backlight and if there is anything dodgy I'll get it replaced ... thanks for the info. Our other screen is a Samsung and it's been fantastic since day 1, never had a problem and the picture is great. I wouldn't be suprised if they are the same screen ... they look just as good. My folks have a Loewe and it's fantastic, the lack of Asian logic in the controls shits me though ... I still can't use the thing.

NickS - nice TV. Saw one of those in DJ's the other day and it looked absolutely fantastic. :)

As for NYE...this year's the first year I didn't have something planned well in advance. Some of my friends (and my girlfriend Steph's friends) are going to "Shore Thing" on Bondi...and we really didn't feel like paying ~$140/ticket to listen to music we both don't like. :p

A good mate ended up oganising a party at his relos' house (who are away overseas). Pool, tennis courts, BBQ, all my good mates, and best of all - full frontal Harbour Bridge views! Whoo! :woohoo:

Have a good (and safe) one guys. No drink driving!

Cheers,
- Febs.

Samsung do make the screens for Sony.

After Sony have been loosing money on every single product they sell and have shed alot of staff they had to off load alot of there products to other companies. So yeh Sony LCD is now an expensive Samsung, still heard good things about the Bravias though.

Troy Sydney nye is nice but it depends how much you've had to drink. I mean seriously when your on your 6th Jim Beam and coke do you really pay attention to what is happening in the sky? No thought not.

When i was still at school me and my mates used to head over to Milsons Point in Nth Sydney which is right next to the harbour bridge. It's pretty good but you have to avoid all the drunks which hang up near the top end of the park. Still a good vantage point if you can get down near the water and wanna have a few drinks and maybe a picnic?

Im going on some trashy pub crawl along George St, hope i dont visit a A&E at the end of the night.

Troy thats not fair.... It was only the one time! :werd:

We will have to catch up in the new year... i might have to find a car to use for a track day.

On new years... despite what Troy has said, Wagga shouldnt be too bad, however it will be similar to any other Thursday, Friday, Saturday night. Just having a few mate over for some quiet drinks. If it rains we may even have some fireworks of our own... and no sparklers! haha

Happy New Year to all the Trackers... Look forward to meeting some of you in the new year!
