I will be doing a buy for some Holden key blanks to replace my 4 buggered ones. I have a minimum order so I will be getting them in regarless and they are already ordered. I am not keen to pay $60 dollars for 6 buttons and $180 for the 2 broken key cases. You can either take the 3 buttons out and replace your buttons only or the whole case.

I am getting 50 of the blanks in and I can easy get more if needed. What ever I dont sell I will ebay. They are not sealed and are blanks only. What is in the photo is included.

Price is $12 each direct deposit or $13 for paypal. This includes normal post for 1 x key blank and 1 x stick on chev logo (if people really want I can get a normal holden or HSV stick on label made up later on but not this order). See photos.
Note this is a cost price thing to save some cash and for others to do the same.

The keys look like standard 3 button key blanks but they have a chev logo on the back instead of Holden or HSV. There also have a seperate flash coloured stick on chev logo in the kit. Use it or bin it as it is included with the key. The manufacture deals with GM and stacks of other brands direct and they have warranty, OEM standards etc.

Chuck your name down if interested. Better photos next week once the order comes in. If I exceed 50 then I will do another order so dont worry about if the numbers get above 50

Sweet i need a new spare. Can these keys be re-programmed (not sure on the technical lingo there?) If so i'll take two. P.S any chance of Ute ones or can i use the same key and obviously the boot button will have no function?

No worries with the 10. I should of explaned blanks better. Blanks are just the case so no insides, electronics etc. Just the outer case and the key stem is included as per the photo. If your case is no good swap the insides of your case and your key stem with the blank one case. If your buttons are damaged then only use the buttons themselves from the blank key remote.

Hope that makes sence. So case included only. No insides

Cheers

No easy way. Undo the screws first. Then get a small screwdriver in where the key blade is and leaver a little. Once you get enough get a bigger screwdriver and lever it open and gradually work your way around.
I have another one to do so I will do a quick video of the process. Kinda scary but the video will help.

Due in Tuesday so I will have a quick look and test them and once I am happy I will put up the details for payment, getting addresses etc. Just wait until I have checked and tested first and I will get the small vid done how to change them over and also just to change the buttons.
On the local forum up here and this one 43 are sold

So if you are interested some are left still. Either way they will sell on ebay so no problems

Those that have paid they will be sent tommorrow.
Those that have not can it be fixed up soon please and if you dont want them please let me know.
I have made a tiny change to the video but I will explain this with a photo that will come with the keys. Basically use the screws I provide and not the stock one as it save glueing the case togeather. Then you can change the battery when ever without wriecking the case.

The keys should be at people homes soon so here are the basic instruction if you do not want to sit through a 6 minute video

First thing is to test the remote to make sure it works and if your battery is nacked get a replacment organised before starting.

Undo the screws on the old remote and remove key head

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/HSVListy/100_1900.jpg

Then get a decent size flat tip screwdriver and in a turning fashion twist and turn open the front of the old key. You will hear a click of plastic snaping (gluded inside)

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/HSVListy/100_1901.jpg

Then use the same or a similar flat tip screwdriver and work your way around the sides and the back. Start one side and work around. Use the same twist fashion. The back you have to break two small lugs so it will take a bit of effort. Take note do not stick the screwdriver inside too deep as you may hit the electronics

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/HSVListy/100_1907.jpg

There is a slight difference between the models of cars. Once it is off the earlier models you can then remove the electronics inside. I found the rubber seal was broken on one of my remotes but it went back togeather fine. The other 3 they were fine and unbroken. On the later models cars you will need to lever off the small metal bit below. Take care but it will come off.

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/HSVListy/100_1924-1.jpg

Once is it all apart undo the screws on the replacement key and open up. If needed stick a screwdriver and gently open up the back part as the lugs may have got pushed togeather. Again twist and turn

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/HSVListy/100_1895.jpg

If needed replace the battery at this stage.

Then do the opposite to put back togeather but still read the pointers below as there are some chages to the video. Put the electronics back in and put the rubber seal back in. Push the seal in a bit with a screwdriver so it sits in the groove nice and flush.

Now there is some options here and this bit is not in the video. Basically the original keys are designed to be glued only and not accessable but i managed to find a way to make the replacment key accessable for the future.

Option 1: If you use the original screws you will need a small dab of superglue on the two small lugs at the back and a small dab on each side near the front sides. Tiny bits of glue only needed. Then put the covers togeather and install the metal key head and the original screws. Screw togeather nice and firm and put somthing on the keys to make the glue set

Second option is to use the screws I provide. These are longer and will hold the whole key togeather as it screws into the other side of the plastic of the key blank. If you knock your keys around a bit still put small dabs of glue on the two small lugs on the back only (obviously this will mean the key can not be accessed without breaking the back lugs but it will be a strong hold). Then use the new screws and tighten really well until the key covers is screwed on tight. Note to hold the key case nice and firm togeather and tighten the screw nice and tight.

If you have two commodores put the small chev badge on the back to id what car is what. Also with this badge push it on pretty hard to make sure it stays as you only get one shot at sticking. If it falls off get a tiny bit of glue and use that.

Just a point for those with the new keys. There is no need to press like hell to get the doors to unlock. I found I was still pressing hard like I used to without any buttons. Just a gentle press for a second or so will generally be fine.

I have some left so if people want some just let me know. They are on ebay too for $14 each inc postage.
