What do you guys have as hobbies apart from your interest in cars ?

I have a nice little half cab boat that i use for ski-ing, fishing and hanging out on the Hacking or Harbour when the weather is good...

Offloaded my kart awhile back when i borked my back but now that i've recovered i'm thinking of buying a new one. Either that or a WR250 dirtbike (road / trail) - not sure which way to go...

I also play soccer on Saturdays - starting again in April in an Over 35's comp after retiring in 2001...

So, what do you guys do ? I'm getting bored and am looking for ideas !

Cheers,
Paul...

I take photatoes of cars and things on occasion.

I love cricket, play it socially.
Ditto for rugby union, just dont have the body to play it haha

I too am tempted to buy a low end sueprkart or rotax to drain the bank balance

I also like to do cashies on weekends, does that count???

I help coach our u/11s soccer squad but more on the conditioning side of things and they are struggling lol also started playing over 35's myself and play Friday nights.Started training for this over 3 months ago now and have lost roughly 15kg but bulked up alot around my core and legs.......can't wait for this Sunday's trial game against Kellyville :up2sum:

Really enjoying my training and will be doing Muay Thai with my son by mid year but soccer dominates year round really with indoor as well.I occasionally practice my detailing skills on those who are willing to lend me their cars :scared:

Pretty boring I guess compared to some of you guys here ;)

Radio controlled 4 x 4 monster trucks, some RC planes and choppers (only beginner on the planes and choppers)
Study and further education I guess is a hobby as I am always to one course or another. Never really stop training. Just finishing the green licences at the end of this month and then going to start my company directors training. Come on those 10 000 word assignments.
I am also a driver instructor for light / medium truck and bus licences. Also train the odd channenged drivers who others give up on. It is a saturday or sunday morning thing and that is about it. Only a few hours a week. More based on training for carrying around disabled kids and specialised safty and driving techniques.

Monday nights i play Oztag with a few mates, we are in G grade or something so it is really for fun rather then being to serious. Winter comp starting soon, anyone interested?

I also like to do a bit of running, i have slackened off a bit lately but try to get at least 15klm's a week.

Cycling also takes up a bit of time, both road and mountain biking. I plan on doing some type of week long mountain bike ride some time in the next year or so. Maybe up in the NT or Queensland.

Been doing a little bit of snorkeling lately after work. Mainly on hot days though. :)

I have thought about getting a go kart lately also, but purchased something a lot more crazy that is going to take all my money and time. More info in a few days. :bash:

Have kids ... that'll solve your problem.

Hobbies hey ... well I work 60 - 70 hours a week so that takes up a fair chunck of time.

I'm a keen runner and try to get out a few times a week. I try to run home from work once a week(~15kms) but more often than not I only manage that every 2nd week or so, otherwise I just go for a quick half hour when I can. We also like to organise a bush walk every few months (usually around 15 - 20kms at a time).

The other big time consumer for me is Little Athletics. I'm Treasurer of Ku-ring-gai Little A's and along with my brother in law (who is President of the Centre) we spend a lot of time keeping it all running well. Friday afternoons are usually spent marking the oval, cutting grass, sector marking for the field events, maintenance on equipment etc. etc. etc. During Summer (weekend wise) Little A's takes up 6:30am - approx. 2pm every Saturday. In Winter we run a Cross Country program every Sunday afternoon. Involved with the whole thing is weekends away for various carnivals / events ... plus travelling to QLD every 2nd month for work, doesn't leave much spare time.

I'm OCD about the house and cars so spend a fair bit of whatever other available time I have mowing lawns / clipping trees / cleaning gutters / washing windows (who the f#*k decided glass pool fences are a good idea) / cleaning cars / maintaining the pool etc. etc. etc.

In the other 5 mins a week I have spare I like to organise track days with Dunc ... :D

Before kids i was into fishing. But with three young sons now, and one or two track days per month, there is no time for anything else. Except internet porn.

Two years ago, a buddy of mine decided he wanted to start a band. Three of my mates agreed, problem was, none of them could play an instrument. I played a bit of guitar and so did another, so the five of us started practising/playing/lessons. Fast forward 2 years and we have played five gigs and are actually playing at a party tommorow!

WE both are involved in little A's!! I am an age manager for 36 lovely, well mannered, serene under 8 boys I take around to their events each Sat, championship event organisation, blah blah.
Little A's is great for the kids, great to be involved in.
