Well after some shopping around and probably pissing off a few salesmen, ive managed to secure a price too good to refuse on a GXL Diesel Prado.

It sad that before its even ordered, the shopping list includes:
* ARB Deluxe Bullbar
* UHF CB Radio
* HID Conversion
* Some sort of tune/chip/power upgrade/etc

Im just waiting to hear back from the dealership on the delivery time, there is one available at another dealer down south, so they are going to try and bribe the dealer to swap it with them!

Looking forward to having a decent 4wd to take off road for a bit of fun!

Nice. I believe it's black or pretty close to?

I'll be keen to see how often if gets taken genuinely offroad being that colour. :lol:

Of all the IFS 4WD with genuine Hi/Low range capabilities the Prado would be my pick. Good choice Ryan. Save the $$$ from the UHF and put it toward decent suspension/lift if you intend to take it properly offroad.

Most tag along mobs will provide you with a UHF for the day.

Ive been told this wont see a skidpan.....never say never though ;)

Will wait and see how into the off road stuff I get before i go shoveling to much money. The bull bar is designed with one thing in mind....Making sure the Kangaroo goes crunch before I do!!!

A mate recently bought one and the seller was talking about some sort of enhanced chip for them. Cant remember what it was called, but Im sure Sonny would know.

DP Chip seems to be the most common. However all the "chips" are just interceptors that trick the ECU by changing some paramaters. Nothing as advanced as a LSx Maf/Mafless tune :(
