Drove heaps today in the rain. Made sure I told the missus to be careful. Anyway I witnessed the aftermath of six accidents and almost had one myself. Turning right from Old Northern Rd into Castle Hill rd, I rolled around the bend at slow speed and put the car into a sideways drift. No accelerator, no back off oversteer, no aquaplaning.
Corrected the slide and continued on in disbelief. Couldnt believe it happended with absolutely no throttle or excessive speed. If anyone was in the lane next to me I would have taken them out. Hills people watch that corner in the wet!!!

You didn't factor in the extra weight in the back seat from the tele mate :coffee:

I had the same deal last night turning right from Cumberland H/way into Old Windsor Rd. The road was wet and i just cruised round the corner and before you know it the thing was etching out sideways and the stability control and everything was kicking in. Very slippery indeed!

This is every corner for me when it rains. The world of tray back utes and light truck tyres. Wooo. Im thinking a 500l water tank might settle the issue lol

I can guarantee it will!
When I had my ute I always carried some bags of concrete in the rear tray.

Your right I should go back out and try it again on my own because when she's in the passenger seat that car's speed limited to 60 ;)

I went down to the shops in the sv8 not long ago and got a little (more of a smidge) sideways coming out of a corner in dry conditions......does that count :D

You obviously haven't had to hunt I mean avoid a ball that strays from kids that were playing on the footpath and finds it's way onto the road
