iam but just planning ahead if i get rid of it soon i can get the sti and pay most of it off by the time i return home.
You mentioned track duties, are they a priority? Have you considered an EVO, I don't know anything anout wrx or evos but from what I see the evos seem to be a better track car (at least in stock or near stock guise, I just mean the results I see guys achieve). I almost bought an evo 8 MR import.

I also thought of this but I like the style and the features of the sti I will be nodding it slightly but not over top also I would like to go on the of skid pad day I have drove both but sti drive more like a rwd which is what I like

im biased but go the subaru, im not the biggest fan of the evo 10 but id seriously look at an evo 8-9.
My next car will most likely be another subaru, im not sure if ill go the wrx or sti? the only real major difference you get for the sti is the 6spd gearbox vs the wrx 5spd. All the other things like wheels and suspension and such arent much different and with the savings over an sti you would buy better stuff aftermarket than what is on the sti anyway.
Doesnt matter what you get it will need,
Suspension
Brakes-modded or replaced
full turbo back exhaust system
Tune
Intercooler
Wheels and tyres.
ps. i love the boxer sound also and im the next ken block:drivin: gymkhana star.

earlier when i was looking at a dedicated track car, i ended up looking at the EVO mate... from what i have heard the STI is a nice car and all but track wise, the EVO has something the Scooby doesnt...
My plans changed and track work lost out to family :) But if i do look at it again, i will probably still go with an EVO unless the price of the R35 drops and in a big way.....
And um, Mr i love the sound of the boxer Timmy....., you like listening to something sound like its gonna blow up??? :p
I should add, the director where i work, has an 07 STI that he spent some serious coin on, and it is used 90% track 10 % road... this thing is insane, something like 280kw at the treads.. He used to race Formula 3 and was pretty successful back in the day.. He now races his STI, otherwise its playing with his Ferrari collection, In his words the acceleration in the WRX reminds him of his Scuderia.... Now thats a big call, but for a car as heavily modified as his Subaru, thats impressive...

ahh fair enough. if it's a personal preference thing, get the one you like is best.

Yeah I'll see how things go
The sti will be a better everyday car over the evo. Has nicer appointments inside than the other.
You will love the sti mate, amazing car :)
