Wow...I didn't think the day would occur.

Nick, withdraw from sale, chuck a big assed car cover on it and let it sit for the next 15 years.

But, if it is your wish..good luck with the sale...not that you will need any luck.

I suspected this would be the reaction ... :yep:

... i hope you have thought long and hard before putting her up for sale.

I have mate ... this has been going back & forth in my head for at least 18 months. I ran the 10.9 in it and then thought "what now", it was honestly too much for normal street use and I had no interest in taking it any further on the track ... hence the change back to n/a with the LS3. It achieved the desired result, the car sounded better and was much more enjoyable just driving around on the street.

Well a year has passed and it's done a grand total of about 800kms ... times change, kids grow up, lives get busier, interests change etc. etc. etc. and having 3 cars in the garage plus a share in a track car that I never use is just getting a little ridiculous. It's a decision that I didn't really want to make so I just haven't done anything but I want to try something new / different and it's not going to happen without selling something.

We have 3 cars at home, one of them hasn't been driven yet this year (well ... maybe once ???), one has done 3,000 kms since the start of the year and one has done about 12,000 kms ...

Which one do you think it makes sense to sell ?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to keep it wrapped up but the dollars run out sooner or later ... it's not an investment, it's a toy ... and we all know that sooner or later everyone finds a toy they want more.

This is my favourite model HSV ever - period

I wish I had the money!!!
You want to get back into a SSV wagon by any chance......lol

Good luck with the sale - i only hope it goes to an enthusiast who looks after it with the same amount of love and care as you have!

Be a shame to see you sell it Nick. Of all recent HSVs I reckon this is the one that will be worth $$ in the future.
You dont need people to tell how to spend your money - you are well capable of figuring it out for yourself.
All the best with it

And somewhere in automotive heaven ... our mother of blessed acceleration is shedding a tear. :bawl:

Not that you want idle shit chat in your thread mate but this must've been an ass hard decision to make.

The points raised about not being an investment are annoyingly accurate and totally unlike you!!!

Best of luck with it and much like Bill's said ... my spidey sense is tingling at the notion that there's more to follow with the sale of this weapon.

On a side not ... what the hell is wrong with the universe??? Mark's selling his red Coupe4, now this!!! :faint:

I know mate ... I know. You know what I want though ... makes sense, yes ????

BTW ... I'll be in touch, no major rush but I'll need to line you up get her back to perfect.

Nick, withdraw from sale, chuck a big assed car cover on it and let it sit for the next 15 years.

Tempting ... but I just don't get a kick out of having it in the garage unused ... which is pretty much how it's been for a few years now.

This car will remain a part of our family in its own little way...

Still love the yawn in the background ... :chuckle:

... Not that you want idle shit chat in your thread mate but this must've been an ass hard decision to make.

:yep: ... as I said, this has been at least 18 months of thinking here ... if I'd gone ahead with the GT-R I placed a deposit on this would have happened then. That's gotta be close to 2 years ago.

Jeez Nick - that's sad..... but what a tempation.....
You're a bloody accountant - give me some sound, rational, fiscal reasons why I should buy it.....
Hmmm....unfortunately, that's what I came up with too...:(
Still - I'm sweet talking my Treasure- just don't hold your breath....:(
.....But....I can smell a slight Teutonic odour on the horizon.....Sounds sensational too....Practical, Fast, good resale, great prestige, .....Hey - I think I can almost see a C63.... ;)
Best of luck with the sale....Seriously - I wish I could justify tying-up that amount of money for another toy. (I already have one that's done less than 1000km in the last year...)

Removed all that about 18 months ago ... sold it off bit by bit. I was just over the turbo to be honest, too much / too loud to be able to enjoy the car on the street (which was the only place it was really ever driven).

Plus ... and the biggest factor for me ... it didn't sound like a tough V8.

The end of an era...

:yep: ... bit sad about it too, but it's done < 1,500 kms in the last 2 years ... time to move on.

I see no sense in leaving something like that sitting in the garage for ever.

Don't be sad Nick.. Sure it was a nice car, but it's just a car and can/will be replaced with something presumably much nicer :)
