Fark me! I thought I got a bargain last year when I went to london with Qantas for $1469 all-inclusive.

Certainly very cheap...but there is one thing to consider when looking at cheap airlines and that is safety.

A good friend of mine is a Qantas second officer. Qantas work on very strict safety policies in relation to landing in poor conditions etc. Qantas will fly to alternate airports when 80% of other airlines will land in poor conditions. Qantas were also the last in the air after the recent volcano incident. My mate told me he was flying into Hong Kong and they diverted due to bad weather. He couldnt believe planes were landing. The have a system where the pilots can talk to each other and he asked one of the pilots how the landing went. The pilot replied that they blew the tyres and broke a few passenger bones, but otherwise all good.
