I have some rather tall hedges down the side of my place requiring attention and was looking at these items...

Anyone tried one. Or got something similar?

Yes only a 6month warranty...but possible cheaper than hiring the gear I might otherwise need.

that seems to be a good price but i have never heard of this brand.i bought stihl 4 - 1 and it has not missed a beat.honda make 1 as well and for use at home i'am pretty sure you get a 4 year warranty with them.

Phil,
I suspect its not too dissimilar to buying a Palsonic as opposed to a panasonic..

You ultimately get what you pay for.

With a 6month warranty... I think I will give it a go...

I wouldn't buy anything but Stihl, Honda, Tanaka or Husky Scott :)

And go in to one of the 'sydney tools' stores as they have very cheap in store deals

Never thought I would be talking about gardening equipment on this forum!

Scotty I run 2 mower shops (selling good brands), i've never seen the complete system that cheap......not even chinese. That is so cheap I would buy some and sell them in our store. We have for many years kept top end product but the changing market pushes me towards chinese product. The chinese design and assembly is really good now days, just not the quality of components.

Let me know how it works out.

Troy, possiblly a bit of overkill for my situation, it can be iff all else fails...

Kyle, I am not seeing this as a investment but a cost to see the job done. $300 vs 1200-1500 is a fair bit....

Jason, Happy to share how its goes.
