Please keep an eye out for a bright yellow hatchback Torana, rego SSJETT.
Stolen from Razorbazk near Camden
We attended drag day yesterday, with this club I think.
Did you guys run a competition for a $250 voucher for best looking car?
Thanks
Ryan

So it was stolen after the drag day?
Hey Ryan,
It was me that gave the $200 voucher for best looking car. I was wearing a red and black shirt if anyone else came and said something then I'm not sure who it was.

Sorry to hear about your car mate ... everyone I spoke to thought it looked fantastic, it's a real shame that you even have to worry about the scum bags of the world.
:(
I can vouch for Dan 100% ... he's supported numerous track days that we have put on and he's worked on my cars for several years now. I'd happily trust him with the keys any time.
Good luck finding it ...

Thanks guys. Larren (the owner) is beside himself at the moment.
Please know that we're not making any crazy accusations. I think that the owner in his understandable confusion may have thought he'd given out his home address but may have only given out his email address. Just wanted to check that the car detailing voucher he'd won was legit.
There was a well known XW/XY falcon stolen in the same area exactly 1 month ago, I believe it was a heavily modified street/strip car and was found repainted and cut up in a paddock in the same area maybe its related, the cops are very much on the case.
On a side note, Thanks for having us part of your drag day it was most enjoyable even if my bomb snapped an axle. I must say your cars are impressive.
Cheers
Ryan

I'll put in my 2c backing up Dan. I was with him all day as I slept at his place the night before and we drove to/from the track in my ute.
It is a very nice car, we both commented on it not long after arriving. I hope it is returned asap. If there is anything that we can do to assist, just ask.
Cheers Greg

No worries Dan, Larren was over the moon about recieving that award.

Yeah, thanks mate.
Look... to know that the award is legit is great obviously if it wasn't and he'd been dudded we'd focus on that. Understandably you ask questions when faced with this shithouse situation. Thanks for the support guys

That is just horrible mate , I seen the car yesterday and it was an awsome machine. One thing I will suggest is that with the gates being open to anyone and unnattended yesterday any type of scumbag could have followed you home after sighting the vehicle unfortunately. I recently had a car stolen , it definately wasn't to the standard of yours but I know how you feel . Just keep ringing and hassling the police and get all your mates together and check local or nearby areas that are known for this type of thing, you must do it in the first 48hrs!! Ring all 24hr service stations and fax them a pic of the vehicle , you have to really put in a lot because unfortunately the police may say they are but they do bugger all :(

Maybe this has nothing to do with the track day what so ever, im sure the car has been out and about before some time in its life and people would have seen it. Id first be looking at friends of friends because you dont know how long the gold chain goes before you get to a dirty link. If the car was stolen in such a professional manor i doubt it would have been someone that would have eyed it off only hours earlier, thefts like these are normally well planned and well setup which takes time and patience to organise when and how best to do it.
not having ago at anyone or pointing fingers but id say this was organised well ahead of your outing imho.
i really hope you get the car back complete and fast.

Maybe organised , maybe not. Here's my example , my car was NEVER seen , rebuilt in the shed over 2 years , got it going on the Friday arvo , drove around the block , washed it in the yard , put it away , put immobilisers on (2). Was stolen that night !! Pushed out onto a trailer never seen again. Crime of opportunity , call it what you want the thiefing pricks are out there.

Sorry for your loss aswell maloo but i just dont see it that simple, its not hard for someone to have known about what you were doing and how the progress was going, word gets out and sometimes into the wrong ears and things happen, if you said your car was left outside on the street and an easy target id say yeah sure opportunity theft but 99% of the time these things are planned well ahead.
Dont take that to heart as im not calling you a liar and your story is probably 100% but id say its an exception.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Hopefully it gets found quick.
I really dont like reading about these sort of things and feel terrible for those that have to go through that hell.
As people know I have been using systems to assist with keeping any eye on cars at home and on the road. Please take this as someone trying to help and not just a plug. If anyone wants any assistance with vehicle trackers etc please check the below thread or PM me. I always do specials for Trackchat members. A complete tracker with mobile and computer self tracking for about $200 and you supply a prepaid sim. This can atleast give you a chance regardless how quiet the buggers are.
Check the Tracker 1000 ($200) and Tracker 2000 ($450) or I can do other versions too to meet the customers wants like additional sirens, movement or break glass sensors or what ever.

I do like to help here and hopefully people understand

That make three from the area that I know about, the Torana, the falcon at Theresa Park and a Ute from my place at Mt Hunter.
Unfortunately I don't hold much hope that it will come back in one piece. As you you know the falcon was destroyed, the ute from my place was semi stripped (still drivable) and burnt out.
If its the same arseholes it seems more like joyriding than pro thieves who at least recognise the value of what they steal.

That makes me feel sick.
Sorry for your loss and I do hope they find it quick and in one piece.

Don't know how true this is but at WSID tonight while waiting for a tow mid track on the return road i was speaking to one of the WSID dudes on a quad bike.
The yellow torrie came up that it was stolen, i said yeah i heard what a shame, he then tells me the owner was contacted and told if they wanted the car back it would cost $7.5k and that they beat the wrong car at the drags (this is the bit that i really thought was BS).
All i kept saying was bullshit, i don't believe you and he kept saying yeah true.
I really do think this is all rumour as i couldn't see anyone taking someones car for being beat at a trackchat day and holding it for a ransom.
Again i call bullshit.

^^ Wow. Obviously someone is trying to throw the owner off the scent, by suggesting it was someone at the TC day. I'm sure the owner of the torrie will see through this. BS X 2.

Guys I am a close friend of the owner, we are no closer to knowing who stole the car but I will say that we WILL find them.
The car was spotted very early Monday morning driving near Camden closely followed by a white VN-VS v6 commodore
Can I just say a quick thanks to those who have contacted me with snipets of info.
Please keep it coming 0457 070 244

Thats why i posted BS 3 times in my post, it sounded more like a movie plot and was dragging the TC name in mud.

Car still not found unfortunately, many many people looking for it all over the country, I reckon these people were at the drags or got an address from paperwork or something.

So the car was never in the driveway for anyone to see? Do you trust your neighbors? Word of mouth about such things as nice cars can travel very far and very fast. It is very slightly possible that someone from the Drag day could have done it but, and this is a good but.
How would they get your mates address. From the Drag days that I have organised with WSID they dont need the entrants addresses, maybe that has cahnged I dont know. Also if WSID had your address then it would be very safe to say that they would not go handing it out, they are a great bunch of people lead by a great guy in JH.
Are the Police still involved?
I hope that they find it in one piece and get the people who took it.
But I hate to say it, if I had a Picaso at home Id have a great alarm system and make it very very very hard to remove, same with a beautiful car. The world has some low lifes in it and you have to cater for them interupting your life.
Good luck,
Troy :)

From speaking to old&gold last week about this car ,it's safe to say the car lived in a "very" isolated area and wouldve rarely been seen .

Troy I hear what your saying, in heinsight so many things would be different, the Police are involved and are keeping the owner posted. Mate nobody knows how these scumbags operate but it is highly possible he was targeted from the drag day.
anything is possible. could have been a friend of a friend attending WSID; could be any one of thousands of people who seen the car been taken to/from the track, could be a friend who knew the car was out/ready/trailered, whatever.

Just wanted to give an update. Car still missing owner and his family still devastated. Rumours have been rife, personally I believe a gang/group operating out of the Rosemeadow area stole the car in a racket operating jointly between here in Sydney and the Ipswitch area. Please keep this car in your thoughts something may pop up (PLEASE NOT THAT THIS CAR HAD A SUNROOF AND IF YOU SEE A SHELL/ROOF ANYWHERE WITH ONE PLEASE CALL US) 0410606302, 0457070244, 0416107010 (owner)
