Im currently listening to Lupe Fiasco's album - Food and Liquior.

Im really into the song at the moment from the cd titled 'American Terrorist' - it's pretty powerful stuff.

He's coming out to Australia in a few weeks and playing at the Metro Thearte, I'll be there to show my support :)

4 CD's in the R8 with 150 songs on each, thats 600 songs with an average of 3minutes is 30 hours of songs... Now i need some ideas for the 5th CD, but comming up with 150 songs worth listening 2 is hard!

Got the "Boned" CD by the Twelth Man at Xmas.
If you are into cricket it's a good laugh. Shame these things date so quickly, he could have some fun with the poms losing 5-0.

music has been banned at out place.

Mrs got 5 new "best of" cd's for xmas, so i bought her and Ipod and told her she can listen to them on it... hahaha

A man can only stand so much George Michael, Meatloaf, Keith Urban & Robbie Williams on high rotation!

then i made my worst move, the PS2 dance matt she got for her birthday. Its great to know u can dance to your own CD's on it... there appears to be no end to George Michael............

CD what cd... have a few in the car but most of the time just have the usb ram plugged in.

it has a mix of about 150 tracks various stuff chucked together and named driving songs.

Next folder is heavy bass mix with various bands.
Followed by folders of bands, icehouse, metallica, linkin park, stratosphere, rolling stones, led zeppelin, Hendrix and many more bands.

Oh funny folder with funny stuff.

CD what cd...

Exactly....On the wireless this morning all I got was some AM talk back show. This is due to me having removed about 30 Cd's from the stacker, console and glovebox, leaving the vehicle devoid of digital aural content.

However, one song I recently had playing, which I had forgotten how good it can sound on decent gear is Rage Against The Machine's Killing In The Name Of.

Plenty of variety usually. From things like The Average White Band and Zero 7 to Steely Dan, Four 80 East, Midnight Oil and Incubus.

Cheers,

Scott

Scat, "The Wireless", man your showing your age
weve had this discussion many times recently because one of the mechanics at work (24) refers to the radio as "the wireless"

We went as far in depth of investigating (by smashing open a warranty radio) that the wireless unit infact contained 7 seperate wires and/or wiring harnesses

yeh we were bored!

Unusual for me I dont have any music on, but CD wises in the car Ive been switching between Boonanza II - Boonys Club Room anthems and U2 18 - the singles

Goo Goo Dolls - A boy Named Goo

And oldie but a goodie. Finally got it on CD from Ebay as my only tape player is broken (taped it off an old friend when it was first released...before I'd even heard of a cd burner...lol)!!!!

Bought two new Led Zep albums the other day - "Coda" and "Presence". I previously only had "Remasters" (their "Best Of" CD) and "How the West was Won" (a fantastic live 3 CD album).

They're pretty good! Quite a few songs I'd never heard before...been a huge Led Zep fan for years though, so I knew I'd like them. Gotta love Dirt Cheap CDs and Rockbottom Music in the CBD. :D

Apart from that, I listen to a huge range of music:

60s and 70s Rock (Creedence, Beatles, Stones, Eagles, AC/DC etc...), even some older stuff like Beach Boys and Buddy Holly
Current rock (most of what TripleM plays, but not that Nickelback shite)
Punk (NoFX, Frenzal Rhomb, older Rancid, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes etc...
Jazz (Ray Charles, Cat Empire)
Older stuff (love a bit of Frank Sinatra!)
etc...

I don't even mind a bit of RnB every now and then. About the only music I can't stand is really hard-core techno, Australian hip-hop (though there are exceptions like Hilltop Hoods), house and anything pre-1950. :D

About 4 years ago I won a competition to program an hour of music on TripleM (Sydney). I got to introduce every song, take calls from listeners and choose every song for that hour! Had all these calls from people of all ages saying "Love the music mate! Keep it up! Can't believe a young bloke likes all this music etc..." (Was about 19 at the time). This was back in the days when MMM started playing Eminem and other music that really didn't fit with their listeners. They've smartened up since. :)

Cheers,
- Febs.

PS: I recently squeezed my music collection down from 10gb to 6.5gb to fit on my new iPod (got sick of carrying a chunky 40gb iPod)...that wasn't an easy task!
