Hey guys,
just wondering if anyone could recommend a good window tinter in sydeny. I live in the city but dont mind traveling. Its for my wrx which apparently are difficult to do (or different at least) because they have frameless windows. Need it (probably darkest legal) because the car is now living on the street and i dont want anyone busting a window stealing my Kylie CD's.
thanks

thanks for your replies guys ill chase those up and get quotes and that, this may be a stupid question but from those with darkest legal and darker tint- does it make that much of a difference during night time driving (affect your perception harder to see etc)? i guess you have to weigh up the benefits of sun protection and glare during full sun and that as well as privacy/ security but i do alot of night driving for work at ugly hours.

thanks again guys

Tell him Carl wiht the Black R8 sent you ;)

This is metallic 15%, cost me $250

35% is darkest legal, and its really not dark at all, you can see through it in most conditions, 15% is 'ok' with most cops unless they are ass holes. Regarding night time driving, i think its find, but, if someone was wearing dark cloths and there was no ambient light, and your head lights didnt hit them, and and and, it would be harder to spot them, but you can still see no problems... The mirror effect (even though its not silver), reflects the light making it darker from the outside, but lightter from the inside... I dont think its a problem though, unless you have sunnies on at dusk, its hard to see

Hi Sam.

I can vouch for both Phils (bok1) and Carls tint. You can barely see into phils car :lmao:

After our brake session i dont think we should do a home effort job hahah (We would probably do a great job, but spend an extra 3 hours doing it after realising that we needed to peel one of the films off for it to stick haha)

that looks horn carl, thanks for your reply will chase that up next pay date. I think if i tried a DIY alex i would find a way to put it on backwards- decals and sticky stuff is very much a black art.

Hey Pirate, I got my Monaro done at Solartint on Taren Point Road. I was really impressed, they did an awesome job. Mine's 35% but so it's not too dark to look out of at night, but hard to see in, especially on a bright day due it being fairly reflective. They also give a lifetime warranty
