well its down to the final 3 choices of cam for the vy ss

1. crane cams 228/228
2. comp cams 228/230@112
3. comp cams 224/230@114

the lift is better in no.3 but its the lsa that puts me off the cam. I currently run the crower 217 / 226 @114 and would prefer more mid to top end out of the car, plus a few more hp wouldnt go astray. then a end result of 270 to 280 rwkw (currently 255rwkw) would be an absolute bonus b4 the heads go on, and i still have to add a bigger tb and ud pulley. if anyone has had experiences with any of these 3 cams please feel free to add comments, and i am not after a stock idle:toetap: b4 any asks, the lumpier the better. fuel econ isnt a great concern but the car is still street driven so driveability is.

I have a custom cam of mine thats inbetween all of those & has stuff all overlap and produces anywhere between 270 to 300rwkw on ls1 and 300 to 330rwkw on a ls2,excellent manners and drivability :D ,fitted one to a vyss produced 290rwkw and turns the tyres wen you stand on it second gear, very sharp cam and makes power from the word go & has run 11's,one catch, works very well with 3.9's on a manuel and 3.7's on a auto :D

Idle quality is great though on the lumpy side, though will idle better than those cams you have listed and drivability is great,a converter wont hurt either,,the 3.9's would be oki,but i would goto 3.7's as everything will happen too quickly and voilently causing brutual power delivery.

Your a bad man Sonny. Everytime I start thinking I like my little 222/224 cam, I read a thread somewhere about your custom jobbie.
Ive nearly finnished tuning mine, and Ill see how I go power wise and then I might make a change!!

Can you pm me a price for the cam please mate. I assume the 918's are still suitable with this?
