Hey blokes,

i've finally moved into my new house (still like a bomb scene unfortunately, and will be for a while) and i've realised i have nowhere to store the garden crap (mower, whipper snipper, and various bits of crap).

I thought about getting a nice timber shed put in (when the finances recover) so i thought i would ask if any fellow members have put in anything bigger/better than the usualy tin shed?

I found this online:
http://cabinkitsgalore.com.au/hunter.php

These seem like just about the best timber sheds around, and could provide shelter from the screaming sprogs?? (if you don't understand that, yo don't have more than 2 kids).

Show us your shed! Suggest what's good or not.

Like you read my mind mate ... we settled on the new place on Tuesday and a shed would make the space in the garage much better ... but I don't want a tin shed!

I'll check out your link and if I stumble across anything else over the coming months I'll let you know ... we have a few months of renovations ahead of us so I'm in no rush at this stage!

Good to hear you're finally in ...

If you dont want it looking like a tinshed..Build an outhouse...

Pour a slab... build a frame and either clad it or brick it in...
I would still use colorbond or the like for the roof, or if you are happy to pay the extra use Bondor/kingspan... it is insulated and can span up to 6m...

Dunc ... did you make any progress on the shed ?

Our place is pretty much completely gutted now ... here's a pic looking from the kitchen, through the 2nd floor bathroom, through the ceiling to the roof tiles!

:hmmm:

Definitely want to get something in the backyard to store bikes / mower etc. I like your idea Scotty, if I go that way I might have to get you to assist me with this one!

We built a colorbond shed a few years back with garaport out front. Unfortunately due to the accumulation of boats, project cars and general crap, the building has never housed either of our cars. Both have had to live under the garaport. So I've had to build another one.

Its attached now to the front of the house and is just big enough to hold both the cars without fighting to open doors and unload kids and groceries. I am absolutely denied acces to this garage with anything other than either of our cars. But that is fine, I have gained in two ways, I get to keep my 'manshed', but most importantly we no longer have to reverse cars though the same yard where our daughter plays. In fact we are fencing it off to give her free run of the yard and ride her bike without fear of being run over...

I feel your pain Nick, we are also undergoing a full house reno. Additions going on the front at the moment then pretty much strip out the rest then add some more to the back. No sleep between night shifts here for me for a few more months... :(

ha ha suckers, we've just finished our reno's and sold our house, but we are about to build a new house very shortly so that starting to become painful and expensive.
