This is a very simple and fast way to remove corrosion from your Battery terminal or clamps.
STEP 1
Mix 3 teaspoons of Bi carbinate of Soda with 1 glass of tap water.

After water is added. If you want you can add more Bi Carb Soda till the mix is Turgid (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/turgid)

STEP 2
Pour the mix over the corroded part of the battery, in this case the battery clamp.

It will fizz up and bubble, this is normal. It is the Bi Carb Soda reacting with the corrosion and lifting it off.

STEP 3
Now rinse of the mix with fresh running water and your battery is clean!

In our next HOW TO we will look at maintaining the terminals on the Battery and the actual "Guts" of the Battery.

And a couple of other easy fixes for this corrosion removal problem:
Plain old boiling water dribbled over the problem area does as good a job as any in removal, as does......Coke! Yep - good old Coke brings them up like new.....imagine what it does to your guts....

Steel capped saftey thongs :lmao:
Why do you need eye protetion when pouring this on your battery?
If your eyes are anywear near the batery then you need a slapping.
But better to be safe then sorry I guess.
