hey guys, just a quick hello.
I've owned turbo's all my life and just decided to go something different this time around with a VY SS.
Hope to go on a track day or two and see how the old taxi goes :D
She's stock at the moment but next week it will have a full 2.5", high flow cats, headers and ecu tune.

Welcome aboard! There are lots of very helpful people on here and wakefield is a common passtime for a few members of this forum.
Your mods wouldnt be coming from Dale at CHE would they? ;) Are you considering the OTRCAI aswell?

yep dale is doing it all :)
I used to go to wakefield heaps so I'm looking forward to taking this guy there, I'm not expecting to set blazing laps as she's a big car and the suspension is stock but it'll still be fun.
erm,.... OTRCAI?

I ran wakefield a few times in my old VX SS when it was dead standard and despite my crappy driving it went really well, big issue was the brakes, I had them smoking after only a few laps. It hauled down the straight comapred to the other cars that were running with me. It wont be as bad as the PF guys tell you.
OTRCAI = Over The Radiator Cold Air Intake. A very important performance mod for Gen III cars. Dale can hook you up or there are quite a few types available from many vendors.
Hey mate!!
Welcome to TC, our lil corner of the motorsport internet
Great car man, I have VY II SS with a baby cam and a few lil bits and peices.
Look forward to catching up with you at a TC day soon.
Oh!!
We are having a Dyno day at CHE, its full at the moment but it will be a good watch, some very powerfull cars will be in attendance.
Click HERE (http://www.trackchat.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=254&highlight=dyno) for a look at the Dyno day thread :)

Yeah yeah, I was waiting for that one. :)
7 years is a pretty long time on the "Interweb" though. :stick: Back then there were no good car forums (none that I knew of anyway...certainly none as good as today's forums), so the aus.cars newsgroup was it. :)
Cheers,
- Febs.
