it just relates to the nuances surrounding the whole mac vs pc thing (specifically the people or stereotypes for each camp).

have you seen those mac advertisements on tv?

apparently those ads have done more to turn people away from macs vs gaining customers

(most people feel sorry for the Bill gates character it seems, lol)

on another note, have you guys seen the user interface on the iPhone? It is amazing.

I'm not a mac person.. i thought, meh.. another phone device.. but the iphone interface is actually very good.

I am using a bomby old phone at the moment, and was just today about to ring vodafone and say "If I lock in to a 2 year contract, what can you give me?"

Usually they have phones for free, and I want a Sony Ericsson K800 for nuthin.

Anyway, better I hold off on that, cause I want an iphone too.

Though maybe I should wait till the 2nd generation of them come out.

K810i should be out in a few months...very similar, but with a better design, slimmer casing and (MUCH) better-designed camera cover.
(At the very least, it should drop K800 prices or deals :)).

Anyway, better I hold off on that, cause I want an iphone too.

I was considering picking one up in the US later this year, but there's a million questions surrounding that at the moment:
- Will you be able to buy it without a contract (Apple are saying no)
- Will there be a proper 3G version by then?
- Will it even work here?
and so on...

Definitely an amazing phone though. I'm being cautious this time around. When the iPod came out, I joined plenty of other people in saying "Wow, it's a harddrive-based Mp3 player...big deal." Look what it did to the market. :werd:

Even though the mobile phone market is already a saturated one, I reckon Apple have got what it takes to pull it off. The console market was huge too, but MS successfully entered late in the game and took a large piece of the pie (with the Xbox)...I reckon Apple can do the same.

If anything, it's a decent smartphone which is actually a decent size.

An intergrated keyboard would be better, provided it doesnt make the device too thick

So I needed to post two things.
I got two $1 stamps. One for Dave’s package, one for a CD I’m sending to that guy on LS1 having trouble with the VT User manual.
I sent the other package, only it would now seem that I also posted him the other stamp!
