View Full Version : Just Arrived
Hey All,
My name is Chris and I have just arrived at these forums. I have followed Wade (Quadcams) here from other places.
I am an old fella who drives a BA XR8 Ute, Auto. It is slightly modified with bolt-ons and billet oil pump gears.
I quite enjoy straight line racing and get together with Wade and a few other mates at WSID every now and then.
The best I have done in the heavy beast is 12.7 @ 107 with an unopened engine. I was pretty happy with that but as most of you probably know it is never enough.
My car is tuned by Chris @ BluePower in Melbourne.
Cheers,
Chris :waving:

Welcome Chris, great to have you on board ... it's good to see this rush of Ford owners joining up recently too !!!
We have a dyno day at Castle Hill Exhaust in a few weeks, there will be a whole bunch of members there, why don't you come along and say hi ?

Here you go Chris, I'll open the bidding with:-
Welcome aboard and enjoy your stay. Make sure you take look around, plenty of interesting stuff posted in the last few months.
Phil
Howdy Chris, and welcome
Thats a pretty good time for that MPH and weight. Have you done any work to the auto (stally?)
Thanks guys,
NickS, I would have loved to attend the dyno day but I am out of town that weekend, Wade asked me a while ago.
LSX-402, I am pretty happy the way the car goes. My best mph is a tad under 110. My PB ET was done in the right lane at WSID which probably should have been a 109.**, but the slip says 107 so that's what it is. I believe that the right lane trap speed indicator at WSID is dodgy at times based on 100 plus timeslips I have. I reckon the speeds can be out by about 2.5 mph for my car, but a lot of people will disagree.
I have a few slips around 12.80 @ 109.** from the left lane. (Maybe the left lane reads high.)
I have 4.11 diff and Hi-Stall convertor. (Should of mentioned that in original post. LoL)

Welcome Chris. Nice times there, too. Good to see another Ford over here. Someone's got to keep Wade & Kyle company.
