Well as you know nearly three weeks ago I hit a Roo whilst on my way to work. Not a great deal of damage but enough to have to have the car off the road for repairs.

Now with everyone else making there cars go faster and faster and adding cams and heads and all the rest I was starting to feel a little underpowered.

So whilst my car has been off the raod I have been driving Gills rolla, work Ford couriers and getting lifts off my manager in his battle axe EA Falcon.

So when I got my car back today it looks great, new bumper front and rear, resprayed side and fully detailed. I kicked her in the guts and WHAT a sound, pulled out onto the road and bam, put my foot down and Turbo power, well thats what it felt like after not having my SS for 3 weeks.

It just goes to show how use to our big power figures we get, all it takes is a bit of time away from the the V8 and when you get back in it feels so powerfull, well thats because they are.

Thanks,

Troy :)

Yes Bomi, going from a 1.6L 4 cylinder engine back to a 5.7L V8 will make you feel like you have a turbo. Just glad I wasn't in the car when you floored it...lol. :puke:

Lucky the boys in Blue weren't there either!!! Oh wait that's right, you have a qld licence...

:stick: :stick: :stick: :lmao:

I drove a mates R33 powered VL after him going on and on about how his turbo VL should run 13's, but he only managed a 16 and 15 at WSID at low 80mph.. im like, mate, its got no HP if ur in the 8-MPH  Then it starts, carring on about massive wheels spin all the way down the stip etc etc (his story is recking of bull sh!t)... Trying to explaining MPH readings to him didnt do much for providing an insit to MPH, so he throws me the keys to 'prove' the R33 powered VL has massive power... What a shock, WOT 1st, 2nd (6000rpm and im asking him if its got anymore :stick:) and then 3rd and back off and i almost sh!t myself... not because it had power (in this case a lack of), but the old VL isnt exactly solid, on the brakes and it pulls left, the supsension is all over the place, steering has no direction, everything is so dangerous if these things arnt looked after...

(This was all in good fun, this guy is easliy the funniest guy i know)
