VE Commodore - 1/4 mile times?

What times are the L98 guys running with the VE Commodores at the strip?

A little birdie told me that a Russo tuned M6 VESS/V with exhaust (otherwise stock) ran 12.8@108~109mph tonight.

Not bad considering factory tyres and stock diff gears and the weight of these things (got to be around 1800kgs?)

I would hazard a guess with some launch practice and drag radials, these VE Commodores will be knocking on 12.5's - anyway well done Russo Bros.

that's pretty impressive out of the box with minimal mods. I think these L98's with minimal mods are going to go much harder than the LS2's with similar $'s spent on them. They're starting behind the 8 ball because of lower compression (than LS2) but everything else seems more 'mod' friendly.
