Last night while at work, duct out down the road to grab a feed on my meal break.
The car started fine no problems what so ever on a semi cold start and a 2 minute drive down the road, pulled up at the local Hungry Jacks car park and go inside to order a meal.
5 minutes later get back in the sled and turn the key, NOTHING! Just that haunting clicking noise from under the bonnet and the dash light fading away to nothing.
Asked one of the patrons of HJ if they could jump start me which they did as I had a set of leads in the car but to no avail.
Got onto NRMA and they sent car battery service round just over an hours time after I made the call (busy night he said).
The service guy tested the battery and sure enough was as dead as the Dodo.
Now have a 600amp battery, $147 out of pocket and over an hour late back to work:slap:

15 years of driving and never had a battery die in the arse so quick as this one and that was my Wedensday night for ya!

Had that happen twice in the last ten years. Apparently a cell can go open circuit for no apparent reason, (one only 13 months old and car driven daily). Luck of the draw, they told me.
40 years ago batteries seemed to almost last forever, LoL.

I had the identical situation with mine Azza - at 13 months old. The batteries must be that dodgy that they can just last the 12months original warranty and then - you're on your own....
