Hey all,
Found this place through Bomi's posts on PF - thought i'd join up for a look around, it seems pretty good so far and a bit more relaxed than the other LS1 place where i tend to do a lot more reading than posting... :)
Just got back into the LS1 scene (VZ SS) after a few years off sleeping with the enemy (well, racing an Improved Production Mazda RX-7 actually, which kept me too poor to own an LS1 !!), and look forward to modding the SS and having some fun at both the straightline and circuit stuff...
Cheers,
Paul...
Hey paul, welcome!
Hot avatar, kthksbye :D

You had better not ... when I got my "New User" email and I saw FatBoy I immediately thought of your LS1 avatar ...
Welcome Paul, as you said we are a lot more relaxed here, that desire was basically what kicked off TrackChat. Hope you like it.

Thanks again guys, just been having a look around and it seems like a pretty good forum to me... :)
Troy - Sorry mate, i nearly put your name down as a referrer but then thought bugger that, you might get some sort of reward... :nana:
Nick - I might upload a temporary avatar instead just to keep in the good books here (will do it shortly, for my country... :p ). I will bring the missus back for a run though shortly, she loves being popular... :whip:
Alex - Cheers mate, might even make it to the dyno day on Saturday so will hopefully meet a few of you guys then...
Cheers,
Paul...
* EDIT * Ok, new avatar is up. Hope that's more acceptable... :)

BTW - Here's a link to our racing clips in case you guys are interested...
http://www.paulbartolo.com.au/ipra-video.htm
Click on the "Boppa" video and that's me and my RX-7 (in various guises over the last few years) - some of the other videos feature me and other mates in the circuit and drag racing scenes...
(Nick, if you look closely you'll briefly see the girlfriend aka Ms "Avatar Girl" sitting behind me in the video...)
Cheers,
Paul...

Great video Paul ... looks like a lot of fun.
I think you need to come down to Wakefield with us and help a few of us mere mortals out ... :yep:

Hey paul.
Just been looking through your clips (Very impressive stuff, gotta love the sound of rotors on idle!) did you ever do the twilight races at Oran Park?
I went to one last year when i was planning on getting a 72' cooper S to run in Historic Regularities. Try and meet some cooper drivers etc

Morning Paul, :waving:
Get Tron2004 with the newly calibrated arse-o-meter to call in and pay us a visit. That was a cack
Another with circuit experience joins trackchat ... good news indeed. Videos were excellent BTW.
Cheers Dave.

I'd be happy to point people in the right direction Nick, but i wasn't that quick mate - mid 1.08's on a decent day was about the best i could do before running out of talent... :D
We (Mazda runners) were handicapped by only being allowed 205/60/15 Yokohama A032R's, and naturally aspirated bridgeports. It was great fun though, i miss it a lot more than i thought i would but just have other priorities at the moment with new business, house etc... :)
Hethro - I did the Day/Nighter at Oran Park once, it was awesome to race at night. Certainly got the  look happening going across the flip flop before the main straight though !! :)
Dave - LOL !! I had forgotten about that !! Phil (Tron) works for the same mob but in a different office. He wouldn't listen to what i kept telling him so i decided public humiliation was the way to go !! :)
Thanks again for the welcome guys, look forward to catching up with you all at the track...
Cheers,
Paul...
