:waving: ... welcome VX, it was nice to see your car at the dyno day, sorry I didn't get to say hi.
I have to say, the VX GTS is one of my all time favourites, if at all possible I reckon that's a keeper for sure. Also ... loved the plates.

Thanks Champ,
Yea i didnt stay too long at the dyno day. I want to keep it but i want to buy a house so the unfortunate option of selling it may be a reality.
Your car is immac... one of many, would have liked to see your VE on the rollers too :D

Thanks mate ... that was the plan but unfortunately Sonny wasn't finished with it in time. Oh well, next time maybe.
It would be a shame to sell a car like that, have you had it since new ?

Im the third owner. And yes it is a shame, thats why i only drive it on rarities. Ive had it two years and only just knocked up 10,000k's. But yes im trying to work around keeping it, and save for a house on the side :D

These are the only photo's i have resized at work.
Sonny, getting in my car is a treat for me, as its not a daily driven car it a reward every time i get in.
Welcome mate, have a look HERE (http://www.trackchat.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=113) at how to host and post photos.
Hope you enjoy the site mate

Very nice ! The vx gts engine is a good thing, tuned right i have seen 245rwkw to 270rwkw & 12.7@112mph on street tyres on a gts we tuned, though make sure you change the valve springs, they have shonky valve springs :)

I had my engine rebulit about a year ago thanks to holden servicing :(, and have only done 5,000k's on it. I got it tuned by Sam, now i know thats probably not what you want to hear but ive been to a number of his dyno days and spoke to him personally. It was pinging heaps bad one day and decided to pull my finger out and just get it tuned, and since id been there a few times i chose him first. But if was too busy on that day, you were the next on my list :(
Anyways back to case in point, after tuning i made 350.2rwhp( 260rwkw's) and all ive got is exhaust, and k&n panel with royal purple. Might get a tad more when i get an OTR and 918s. I havnt taken it to WSID yet as a TEX clutch is definatley first on my agenda :D
P.S. I used to always see you SV around Arncliffe, and Hurstville.

Nobody here alergic to Sam, he's a fountain of knowledge and very approachable.
You're not the only Sam's customer that was at CHE's dyno day on Saturday, infact one of his LS1 forum rep's was there, though he didn't put his car on the dyno.
You may need your tune 'touched up' after you fit OTRCAI as it'll run a little leaner. 918's are good for safety, won't make any more power though (unless your current springs are shagged, which they shouldn't be after only 5,000 km)

I know Sam is a champ, but when talking to a competitor, i didnt want to come across as being rude. Cos i have respect for both Sam and Sonny, both have great names for themselves with LS1s :D
And i was planning on getting it retuned when i get a OTR, but that wont be for a while, my clutch is hammered, so that and a rip shift are next on my shopping list .... along with a house :D

Firstly, welcome Matt, VERY nice bit of gear you have there and thanks for coming along to the dyno day on Sat.:waving:
VX GTS is still one of the most classy machines around ... second only to the VT of course :D.
Interesting point above re: choice of tuner, who you chose and why you chose them is your business. One of the primary aims of this forum is (as Alan has eluded to above) is to try and get away from all the tuner related allergic nonesense that goes on rampantly on other forums.
Your car, your money, your choice ... someone doesn't agree with it ... pfft. I honestly don't get all this argo that seems to exist amongst certain circles. Seems all rather childish IMO. Someone gets work done at a shop of their chosing and they're happy with the result ... NUFF SAID !
More than enough barometrically corrected pie to go around ... :D :waving:
Sorry for the mini rant ... haven't had my "bitch-n-crunch" cereal yet ... :)

That's him ... I didn't know it was supercharged, cool, pity he didn't run it.
I don't think Ken works there, he just helps out with the web stuff as Sam isn't big on the whole internet thing.

I chose Sam, cos he has a proven track record and i'd been there before for dyno days, i didnt want to offend Sonny, thats why i explained why i went there. I agree, i have no bias to any tuner, but no doubt im ecstatic with the work performed by Sam. I'll probably end up going to Sonny for the clutch who knows... After getting screwed over by Holden (first the destroyed my cam and i needed a full rebuilt, but weeks after they crashed my old mans VY GTO LE on a 'test drive' needless to say never going back there again!!) i wanted someone that i could trust my car with! Only two names where in my option; Sam and Sonny. I now alsp service it at United Holden, where i can trust the service manager as he is a father of a friend of mine :D

Here is another photo of all the HSV's we used to have. The GTS and R8 were mine. The GTO was my old mans, and the Senator was my bro's. Now the GTO was made way for a VZ Senator for my old man, and my bro now has a myo5 WRX not the vx senator, and i sold the R8 for the GTS :D

Yea Ivan told me... well done champ... id be stoked to get an 12.999. U ran slicks, but i got 3.9s so i rekon wit a new clutch and rip-shidt i might just get it. I want to get 12.899 so i can say i beat Erins, 18year old purple rust bucket ;) I think a private day is the way to do it, no pressure and everyone will help you out hey. Defiantely want to hit WSID before the GTS makes way for a house :D
