Hi to everyone
I know many of the members here from other forums. Its good to see many of the same people enjoying their cars. Its getting to the nice time of year for drag racing again - i much prefer the cold weather for racing andf just being there.
Im sticking with the baby cam and trying to squeeze all thats possible out of it at above 1600kg race weight naturally aspirated.
Too busy to go to LS1Nationals and my June24th im already booked into a MTB race of all things 25km from Woodford to Glenbrook in the National Park.
If anyone is racing at the Nitro Champs or its Test and Tune i will see you there.
Steve
Hi Steve, took you long enough :whip:
I guess you had to wait for the correct new posting conditions IE BARO Pressure, RH, AT, wind direction :lmao: Kidding mate :)
Hope you like what we have to offer and we are looking forward to some of your Drag racing and tunning experience.

The tuning business is going well. A good spread of activities is happening and dealing with workshops from all over the country and providing support has made for lots of interesting experience. I get to be involved in lots of problem cars. eg Eight Throttle Bodies on a LS2 using electronic throttle control.
I want to get my car down to its potential and i enjoy gathering the data, making predictions and then seeing what happens. On the weekend the most surprising thing was 1.577 off 800rpm. Its something racing a year ago i would never have predicted. The BIG 4 into 1s have helped it down low.
Ive been using roadrunner to tune in real time and EFILive has a new system where logging data is fed back and automatically changes the cars tune calibration as you drive to become more accurate. On the weekend i logged into a V1 Flashscan black box , transferred the logs to my Laptop in my dads statesman in the pits and flashed the tune to my car using bluetooth.
Here is a video from the weekend of one of the runs

I wasnt sure how to embed or if it could be done.

To embed YT vids you need the following code
D86gO8XnA3KL
The middle part is found at the end of the HTTP address.
Also remove the spaces that I put in so you could see the code.

I wasnt sure how to embed or if it could be done.
Its embed code at youtube is <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/M7IBxUDGsNY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/M7IBxUDGsNY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
It can be Steve. In this format: M7IBxUDGsNY where TEXT = YOUTUBE
Thus:

Wow you found us (again) Steve ... :bravo:
The old woodie to Glenbrook MTB ride ... ah that takes me back to the heady days when I used to be able to walk up a flight of stairs without breaking into a sweat.
That was my regular Sat morning activity nearly every weekend for 3 years and a great ride for any budding MTB rider. The thing that's the killer is you just complete this taxing ride on some of the best trails on NSW and you're utterly shagged THEN you have the ride up from the causeway at the creek  Anyone who's done the ride will know what I mean ... STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
However, it's hard to believe that someone so drag racing and data driven would chose a MTB ride over a drag day ...
You feeling OK Steve? :D
EDIT: I felt left out so here's a gratuitous mentioning of youtube.com ...

Thanks guys
The MTB was a recent purchase to get some exercise. I used to run a lot. Have done a Marathon , a few half marathons and lots of fun runs and track races. But i cant run anymore as i have a few bad discs - so i got a Giant Trance 1. My son who some of you have met (now as tall as me) has a STP , its something we can do together.
I live just up at Blaxland not far from the Glenbrook entrance to the park.
I used to do lots of motorized trail bike riding and competitive trials bike riding as a teenager. The woodford to glenbrook is a running or MTB race held once each year and i have always wanted to do it.
I enjoy the drag racing - but its much nicer to do it in winter. Looking forward to my next meet as a Ported Fast and 92mm TBA TB is going in this week. Hoping to gain another 13rwkw.
I just bought the VY engine bay noise deadener to put in my car between the firewall and the engine. I havent looked yet at how much modifying is needed.

Hi
Your car looks awesome especially parked low - i didnt know what happened to it. It always a bummer that on race days you only get to spectate if something goes wrong or its dial up and you get knocked out.
Very pleased with the Difilippo's they gained everywhere it seems.

I don't think ive ever heard a bad thing about the Difillipo's..... interesting guys go to the local exhaust shop and get a $1k 'custom' exhaust' and spend the rest of their days :headbang: when you can buy the DF of the shelf!
Next drag day, hope to get more out of my old girl..... but im tellingya, yours sound the goods at the moment!

Thanks - as you know you can't tell how it sounds outside from in the car - but it certainly sounds different in the videos that i have heard so far. (Revving to 6700rpm and not going below 4950rpm.)

Maybe everytime you want a PB just give me a call. :)
Seriously enter in Nitro Champs and you will be certain to get another PB. Just a caution though once you get the 60 footers hooking well - you will be addicted and spend more and more.:yep:
