TrackChat is excited to announce that it will be sponsoring John (PSI38L) for this years Dutton rally series.

John (PSI38L) has successfully competed in this event previously and we look forward to this years series results.
Find out more about Dutton HERE (http://www.duttonrally.com/)

John will be placing some big Trackchat stickers on his car and we plan on helping with some of the costs of the series.

Maybe some workshops may wish to contribute in return for some exposure of their own?

We would like to invite the members of Trackchat to contribute in any way that they wish. Trackchat is YOUR Forum so this is your chance to help out a member ... and a racer with his car.

General COSTS (http://www.trackchat.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=803&highlight=dutton) include tyres, fuel, food and accommodation.

Why might you choose to assist?
Advertising on John's ute will give TrackChat exposure and thus new members ... members make a forum. New members mean new people to meet story's to swap, laughs to be had and friends to be made all whilst sharing a passion for cars.

If you'd like to help a fellow member and give John a good chance of winning his category, you can EFT to:

Account Name - TrackChat.com.au
BSB - 082 201
Account No. - 87 067 5634
Bank - National Australia Bank

Put your user id and "DUTTON" with the payment
Please PM one of the founding members indicating that you wish to support John's Dutton campaign.

OR

anyone who may be interested in contributing anything ... such as:

services,
parts
etc

to John's Dutton campaign ... please PM one of the Founding Members with your EOI. This is a great opportinity to advertise your business and get some excellent exposure as well as to help get the TrackChat name into the motorsport arena"

If you have any questions please ask!

Good luck John, we will all be following your exploits closely.

Hey Guys sorry I've away for work and haven't had much time to get on the site.

What can I say....I can't thank everyone enough for the support you have shown me? Big, Big thanks to Kyle, Troy, and Sonny!!! :bravo:

Can't wait to get the car to Sonny, its going to be awesome!

It will try to get the sign writing finalised in the next week or so and get some shots up. I wasn't expecting this sort of response so I need to shuffle some stickers around on the car.

Thanks again guys!

Cheers,

John

*Press release*

I interviewed John briefly this afternoon to try and get an insight to the man we have chosen to sponsor for Dutton this year.

http://www.kylesharpphoto.com/gallery/d/4124-1/050407006.jpg

So John, Tell me a little bit about yourself...
Well i'm 27, I'm a technical sales Manager for a group of companies (Competition friction, v sport and another), I'm based in the capital, but do travel wherever work's required.

John, What was your first car?
Holden Torana! Loved it :D

What do you drive/race nowdays?
VY SS ute, but occasionally an evolution 8

What inspired you to get into motorsport and racing?
I have always followed motorsport. Trouble is, the more you do it, the more you want to do it! My job is surrounded by it, So it has opened up opportunities I would have otherwise not had. So i'm very lucky!

What do you love about racing?
That feeling you get racing around a track, the speed. And it's the most fun you can have sitting down!

What events are you competing in this year?
Dutton NSW, Hope fully Dutton VIC, track days, Hill climbs, and what ever other events come up that I?m able to do.

How well do you think you will do at dutton this year?
I should be able to win my Class, plus I hope to get a really good outright Position, NSW Is usually very competitive due to large number or cars entered. But I will giving it a really good go, so we should end up with a good result.

Is there anyone you would like to thank?
I'd like to thank the FM's and all members of Trackchat for supporting me and my race team this year. I would also like to thank Sonny and Marranos for supplying me with some go-fast bits for the ute, and lastly I'd like to thank Kyle Sharp for his support also.

Thanks guys :D

I was just thinking... i should have done a full 'page one of the trackchat monthly' style page... would have been awesome :D

For the record, I asked John to give me a cool story at the end of the questions, perhaps about a race where he did well or something... his reply was 'sorry, not good at stories' :D
C'mon John put on a show :whip:

I am the 3rd sponsor, I will be providing 25% of the entry costs for dutton nsw round. And i've offered physical labor/help at the track as I don't think i'll be able to obtain media accreditation. :)

Thanks for the comments guys :D

Excellent work Kyle :bravo:

John, there's going to be a bit of a fan club at Eastern Creek mate. Brace yourself for the TrackChat onslaught.

Those stickers are worth at least 5RWKW. The big sticker that Troy is sending you must be worth at least 30RWKW. Add to that the cam package from Morranos and you've got an unbeatable combo mate. Best of luck.

Scott

Spent the day tuning this ute ,produced some suprising results for such a small cam :yep: ,it made 295rwkw was consistently pulling in the 290's every pull even wen the coolant temps were up round 98deg,had a forum member watch me tune it and he was real suprised as every pull was repeatable :yep: ,i,m quite positive if we had a fast manifold and so0me other bolt on goodies we could have reach 300rwkw,i,m sure john will have fun as now he has a new problem "traction" it doesnt exist ,heres the dyno sheet

"Hey Nick, I'm sitting here having a coffee and I heard an LS1 coming belting up the road, I had a look of course and it was John in the Dutton Ute !!! It sounded awesome, it looks awesome !!!"

John must be staying in Canberra, Dutton starts in Goulburn tomorrow. Go get 'em John.

In conjunction with several businesses … the Founding Members, on behalf of TrackChat and it's members, have undertaken to Sponsor John’s Dutton 2007 campaign.
In this instance, no member contributions were made.

We would like to thank the businesses that have also stepped up to the plate to support John. The Ute looks and sounds awesome.

Just about ready to check out of the hotel in Canberra and head up to Wakefield to cheer John on.

Looking forward to an action packed day.

I'll sms nicks with any results and progress during the day so he can post them up here. Trackchat members will hear it here first. :bravo:

See you there Kyle.

Sorry I didnt see or speak to you Scatty on friday, I got to wakefield, and decided to head straight to sutton road in Qeuanbeyan.

Well, It's 6pm, Im now home in my room... trying to get my head round a case of beer that's calling me softly

In the week's leadup to the Dutto, i"ve been struggling to get sleep, i'e been so anxious to get to the event :D

I must say, it's ALL worth it, If you can be part of dutton, as a driver, team crew, official or media, DO IT !!!

The whole weekend, whilst exhausting, is an absolute ball of fun.

3 full days with ~180 other guys and girls all enjoying a common interest, It's awesome.

On my way home yesterday eve I got a sms from John tellimg me ue was esctatic that he managed a 1.11 of wakefield GP circuit, I was wrapped!

About an hour later, John called and told me that he had bettered that to a 1.10.5 and he was Giggling sike a schoolgirl!

Today he managed a 1.50something (John pls confirm) of eastern ck GP also, again giggling like a schoolgirl :D

So Yeah, great weekend, I've got 11ty billion photos to process... you will see them eventually :headbang:

Kyle!
