We have ordered 2 lsx iron blocks from gm performance today, the goal is to achieve 800+hp,both engines will be biult to take 20psi,we will be using higgins heads as we have been for years. Both engines will carry our custom camshafts, the oiling system on both blocks will be modified as oiling issues are common with lsx blocks once they are modified, alot of professional workshops who work with lsx blocks will know this already.... as alot of new comers get caught out with this issue,we have street commodores following both biulds...should be good to see wat boost and 427 cubes behaves :) i like !
regards sonny

Sounds great cant wait to see the results Sonny. The ls1tech community have been anticipating these new blocks for a while now, they sound awesome, and a great price too.
Following this thread, let me know when they've arrived and i'll pop over with the camera Sonny! :D

Gee, 2k USD for the block, that's dirt cheap. Everyone will have 427's at that price!
Certainly a great time to be an LSX enthusiast thats for sure. Lots of great stuff coming up, can't wait!

With 20 psi you will be looking at closer to 1200 to 1300 hp.

What would a NA version be worth fitted in a VU ute sonny ? Ive seen prices of about 26k fitted..
Im still loving the idea of a 427, or a blower. So hard to make a desision. I guess its always the Dollars, oh yer, and the missus :yep:
Ive experienced a 402 stroker now (street quick performance), whippled 346, gentt and T1000 and h/c 346. and id have to say the 402 and whippled 346 is the kinda stuff i appreciated the most.
One day before i die !
